Small parcels, commercial cargo or bulk goods to Kampala, Entebbe, Jinja and Gulu. Door-to-door delivery, cross-border trucking and customs support in one place.
Beyond everyday parcels, Wakah moves sensitive, regulated and high-value cargo by air from Nairobi to Uganda. Each category has its own rules, documents and airline approvals. We manage all three, so you do not have to.
Perishables & temperature-critical
Cold chain (refrigerated cargo)
One warm hour can lose the whole shipment. We keep the cold chain unbroken from the packhouse in Kenya to Uganda.
WETEAT
Foodstuffs (EAT). Fresh produce, meat and cut flowers: the highest-volume and most delicate air cargo out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, moved on tight flight windows.
Wet cargo (WET). Fresh seafood in wet ice, shellfish and salted hides, sealed in leak-proof containers so liquids never reach the aircraft floor.
One chain, one owner. Packaging, pre-cooling, flight booking and handover are planned together, because a single break can mean total loss.
Altitude, pressure and static change how some items behave. Done right, they fly safely. Done wrong, they are refused at the airport.
ICEELIELMRRERRW
Dry ice (ICE). The standard coolant for medical supplies and vaccines. It releases carbon dioxide as it sublimates and can displace oxygen in the hold, so quantity, venting and marking are tightly controlled.
Lithium batteries (ELI / ELM). Lithium-ion and lithium-metal batteries, loose or inside equipment. They can overheat and ignite (thermal runaway), so airlines enforce strict weight and packaging limits.
Radioactive material (RRE / RRW). Medical isotopes, industrial measuring equipment and research materials that emit radiation.
Compliance first. Each shipment is classified, packed, labelled and documented to IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, and airline and Uganda acceptance is confirmed before it travels.
Some cargo breathes. Some cargo saves a life. Neither can wait on a delay.
AVILHO
Live animals (AVI). From family pets to thoroughbred racehorses, exotic zoo animals such as lions and giraffes, and day-old chicks, with suitable crates, space, health papers and permits arranged.
Living human organs (LHO). Human organs, bone marrow and blood plasma for immediate, lifesaving transplant surgery. Extremely rare and extremely time-critical, so it is handled as top priority from pickup to handover.
No idle time. Flights, ground transport and clearance are lined up in advance so living cargo never waits in a warehouse.
Too valuable, or too tempting, for a standard cargo shed. These shipments are secured at every step.
VALVUN
Valuable cargo (VAL). Shipments worth $1,000 USD or more per kilogram: gold bullion, banknotes and legal tender, diamonds, rare jewellery and high-security government documents.
Vulnerable cargo (VUN). Goods below that threshold but prime targets for theft and black-market resale: luxury watches, high-end smartphones and designer fashion.
Secured chain of custody. Armed escorts, armoured vehicles and biometric vaults at the airport. These shipments bypass standard cargo warehouses entirely.
Bringing a loved one home is never routine. We handle every step with dignity, discretion and speed.
HUM
Top priority. Airlines treat human remains as priority cargo: loaded last and offloaded first, for maximum privacy and speed.
Sealing. Remains are hermetically sealed in a lead- or zinc-lined inner coffin, placed inside a wooden casket and protected by an outer canvas or crate wrapper that keeps it out of public view.
Documentation. Certified death certificate, embalming certificate, burial or transit permit, and customs or embassy clearance for international borders. We guide your family through each one.
Cremated remains (ashes). Often able to travel as accompanied cabin baggage or standard air freight, provided they are in a tightly sealed, shatterproof urn that passes airport X-ray security.
